Miami-area home sales rose last month to the highest February level in five years, according to San Diego-based DataQuick. An increase in home sales for properties listed above $200,000 further improved the entire market’s perspective.
Consumers bought 7,690 new and resale properties and condos in the metro area encompassing Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward counties in February. That is an increase of 2 percent from the prior month and 4.5 percent from a year earlier.
Outfitted with the appropriate residential financing option, a person can obtain one of the properties currently on the market. The media price paid for all new and resale houses and condos sold in the Miami region in February was $135,000.
The current buyer's market offers a wealth of opportunity to purchase a home within a coveted neighborhood that a consumer might not previously have been able to afford. Those with sufficient home financing, good credit and significant down payment can expect an easier closing process.
