Fiat dealerships will begin to certify and sell used vehicles of any brand as part of the Chrysler Grou's Diversified Certified program launched early March. The warranty program will be open to dealers that sell Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands in approximately 60 days, reports AutoWeek.com.
"Just because we didn't build the vehicle, doesn't mean we won't back it with a Chrysler Group warranty," said Eric Swanson, head of certified pre-owned vehicles at Chrysler.
Certified pre-owned vehicles offer financial and service package benefits to consumers who do not wish to buy new cars with inflated sticker prices, but still wish to have the reliability of a new vehicle. The certified pre-owned auto financing options are often more flexible, and entice a great number of consumers to the dealership's lot.
To be eligible for this program, the vehicle must have fewer than 48,000 miles on the odometer and be a 2008 model or newer. Consumers may wish to consider one of these new certified vehicle options in their future car purchases.
