One thing most people can agree with is that this winter has gone on for long enough. While spring is just around the corner, many buyers interested in auto financing could see increased demand for new vehicles.
According to Cars.com, high inventory levels are spread across the country thanks to the many bouts with severe winter weather. Now, more dealerships are offering incentives and deals, which could encourage a buyer's market.
"It's no secret that severe weather has resulted in lower-than-expected sales, causing inventory levels to swell at most dealerships across the country," said Jesse Toprak, chief analyst for Cars.com. "Consumers will benefit from automakers and dealers who are willing to move standing inventory at a steep discount, with the most attractive specials found in large-vehicle segments. For those in the market for a new car, there are some excellent deals to take advantage of."
In addition, Kelley Blue Book highlighted a number of affordable vehicle options for those looking to capitalize on the favorable spring shopping season. For example, the Scion FR-S is at the top of the list of cool cars under $25,000, followed by the Ford Fiesta ST and the Jeep Wrangler. These could be the perfect vehicles for buyers on a budget.
