This fall is quickly becoming a perfect time to complete a number of remodeling projects, with nearly every room a target for upgrades using home improvement financing.
More than half of the homeowners surveyed in Zillow Digs Fall Home Improvement Trend and Spending Survey stated that they planned to make improvements during the autumn months. The 52 percent of respondents also added that they intended to spend as much as $1,000 on renovations. Both figures are slightly lower than during the summer, although a home office or indoor playroom are still priorities this season.
"Fall is a perfect transition time from outdoor to indoor activities, which is resonating in home improvement plans and trends," said Cynthia Nowak, Zillow Digs trend expert. "Parents are sprucing up indoor play areas to keep the kids active and occupied, while looking for ways to update their own workspaces for the season ahead as workdays are shortened by kid pick-up and drop-off duty."
When deciding how to best use home improvement financing on home offices, people should focus their attention on storage, lighting and flooring options, according to HouseLogic. Additionally, noise control is an important feature as well. Many office upgrades could offer a solid return on investment for homeowners.
