True love requires more than just initial attraction. For Valentine's Day weekend, the auto experts at Autotrader put together a list of the five best cars for keeping their drivers happy for the long haul.
"It's easy to attracted to an exotic Italian sports car, but those kinds of cars may not have what it takes to keep you happy in the long run," said Tara Trompeter, Autotrader managing editor, in a statement. "The great news is that there are quite a few cars that don't require you to sacrifice looks for things like comfort and reliability."
The recently redesigned Chevrolet Malibu took the top spot. Combining both fuel-efficiency and sporty looks, the Malibu is proof that even midsize family sedans can be beautiful.
Next up was the Lexus RC. While the car sports exotic looks, that doesn't mean it's hard to maintain. Just the opposite, actually.
Among handsome coupes, the Porsche Cayman is hard to beat. It's excellent performance and handling, coupled with a reasonable price tag, make it tremendously appealing.
Of course, the Lincoln MKC isn't exactly an eyesore either. The luxury compact crossover boasts not only a comfy interior, but solid fuel efficiency as well.
Last but not least, the Volvo XC90 is, to Autotrader's eyes, a near perfect SUV. With plenty of seating and an ultra modern infotainment system, the XC90 is sure to keep drivers happy for years to come.
