Interested in a luxury vehicle? If so, you may be surprised to see that a number of luxury options won't cost you an arm and a leg.
According to Kelley Blue Book, there are a number of smaller and more affordable vehicles on the market today. For example, you could buy the 2015 BMW 2 Series, the 2015 Acura RDX or the 2015 Audi Q3 for around $35,000.
The trend of affordable luxury vehicles is relatively new. Kelley Blue Book pointed out that a number of the vehicles on the list were redesigns new to the 2015 model, while several crossovers and SUVs weren't even made prior to 2015.
Overall, vehicle sales have been strong as of late, bolstered by an improving economy and affordable auto financing. According to TrueCar, the revised estimate for total light vehicle sales in 2015 is now at 17.1 million units, while sales ticked up by 5.6 percent from the last quarter of 2014 to the first quarter of 2015.
"This was an outstanding way to kick off the year," said Eric Lyman, vice president of industry insights for TrueCar. "As we move past harsh weather that lingered in much of the country through March, and with the outlook for the U.S. economy looking even more favorable for the remainder of 2015, TrueCar expects this to be an excellent period for the industry."
