Vehicle ads big winners during recent Super Bowl [VIDEO]

Were you one of more than 100 million people to watch this recent Super Bowl? The big game draws a large viewership, and as a result, the commercial space has become a hot commodity for businesses.

Automakers have hopped on board as well, and it is easy to see why. According to The New York Times, the Super Bowl has drawn more than 100 million viewers every year since 2010, with the 2014 game attracting more than 112 million fans.

That means a commercial aired during a break has an unprecedented number of viewers. For automakers, the payoff is worth the price. Kelley Blue Book reported that a Lexus commercial shown during the Super Bowl resulted in a 1,820 percent increase in searches for the Lexus RC 350 on Well-placed ads also benefited BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

"The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, Jeep Renegade and Chevrolet Colorado rounded out the top five increases in model activity, while ads for the new Lexus NX and Toyota Camry saw only slight increases in user activity," explained Karl Brauer, senior analyst for

Other models supported by commercials faired well, such as the Nissan Maxima, Kia Sorento and Fiat 500X. It seems that many people interested in auto financing took note of the many commercials aired during the big game.
