Vehicle shoppers take advantage of affordable deals

With auto financing, cash incentives and other favorable conditions, vehicle shoppers across the country are heading to dealerships in droves. 

According to, the October light, new-vehicle sales forecast could reach as high as 1.2 million units. That would be good for a 6.4 percent increase on a yearly basis and a 2.9 percent month-over-month surge. The seasonally adjusted annual rate, or SAAR, is predicted to be 16.3 million. 

"Lower gas prices helped fueled sales of SUVs and trucks in October," explained Jesse Toprak, chief analyst at "Consumer demand for new vehicles remained very healthy, resulting in the best October, in terms of unit sales, since 2004. We expect this robust pace of sales to continue in the months ahead and to finish the year with 16.5 million total units sold."

Many of the recent sales are driven by a wide range of affordable vehicle options for consumers. According to Consumers Digest, there are many 2015 models that make for excellent choices today. For example, there is the Fiat 500, the Ford Focus, the Chevrolet Impala and even luxury makes like the Audi A6 or Buick LaCrosse.

For vehicle shoppers, the available choices make it easy to drive on over to the nearest dealership.
